Passport to Fitness is a 12-week interactive, Community Fitness Challenge. The Kick-Off Event is scheduled for Saturday, February 9, 2008 @ Homewood Suites Kingwood Parc from 11:30 am - 3:00pm.  Area sponsors will provide complimentary workshops and demonstrations on the art of fitness and maintaining a wellness life style. Participants will receive a free personal Passport to Fitness is designed to outline their personal 12-week program. Periodic progress evaluation check-in at various local sponsors will be established to assist the participants in maintaining program activity. A Celebration Event will be held on Saturday, May 3 at the Kingwood Homewood Suites with awards and prizes given for faithful completion of the program.

Houston Area Coalition on Aging Well is organized for charitable, religious, scientific, literary, or educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (the "Code"), and the Texas Tax Code, Section 11.18. In particular the Corporation shall serve to educate individuals 40 years of age and older, including Senior Citizens, on tools and resources available to assist them in aging well. At this time, the Corporation is in process of completing paperwork to file with the IRS to obtain 501(c)3 status for tax purposes.
